Wood-McKenna Branch of the Dabbs Family
Since the early 1960's the Wood and McKenna Family have gotten together annually for fun and visiting. Most of those years the annual gathering was on Labor Day weekend and revolved around opening day for Morning Dove Season and "LE HUNT" as our gathering became known as. With school starting before Labor Day we decided to change the reunion part of this tradition to the last weekend of July.
Those first years the families of the two Dabbs sisters, Dorothy and Rosemary total 11 members. At this last reunion that number of family members has grown to 41 of which 32 family members plus three guests made it to the Reunion 2001. We still hope someday the other Dabbs sibling, Robert (Uncle Bob) and his family make it to the reunion
